Coming out July 30 from Pavilion, It’s Your World Now! by Barry Falls is a wonderful new children’s picture book in the ever-increasing but always important category of advice books for young readers – but with a new twist that is really intriguing!
The narrator gives two lessons before realizing that perhaps the best thing for the child to do “is to go your own direction.” The reflective nature of the text is something that all adults face when giving advice to our younger friends: There is always a point at which we all realize that despite all of our guidance and advice, our littles have to figure it out for themselves.
Sharing the utmost love between parents and their children, the book reveals beautiful illustrated landscapes. Readers will enjoy all of the objects on each page. My little guy especially enjoyed the two classic cars within the book!
A few of the rhymes seem a bit forced, and the book’s word count seems a bit high. But, overall, the message is one that I truly enjoyed!
One that I enjoyed reading to my little guy, It’s Your World Now! earns four stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
